BiographySteven Jupurrurla Nelson was born in August 1978 and comes from Yuendumu Community approximately 300km from Alice Springs in Central Australia. Steven began painting with Warlukurlangu Artists, a local Aboriginal art centre based in Yuendumu Community in 2014. He typically paints Janganpa (Possum) Dreaming which he learnt from his mother's side. His traditional country is located near Nyirripi a further 170km from Yuendumu. |
