Straightening Spearsby Rodney Tolson Tjupurrula
This Aboriginal painting represents straightening spears, which was done the traditional way by warming the spears over coals and straightening by hand. Straightening spears recounts when during mythological times, a group of men camped at the site of Ilyingaugau near the secret cave site of Mitukatjirri, south east of the Kintore in the Western Desert in Central Australia.
