Biography
Mary Oliver is an original Keringke artist, she started at the Art Centre in 1987, and has been involved in many of their exhibitions. Mary paints of a variety of different mediums including silk, paper and ceramics. Her artwork features fine details and clean lines and the use of mirror imaging. Her colours are very earthy and organic. Much of Mary's work can be found on calendars, diaries and cards which have been reproduced by Community Aid Abroad. Mary Oliver's 1997 entry into the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Award was selected to be part of the national touring exhibition.
