Biography
Kevin Namatjira was born in 1958 and comes from Hermannsburg Community approximately 1 hour from Alice Springs in Central Australia. He is the grandson of arguably one of the most famous Aboriginal artists of all time, Albert Namatjira. His parents Maurice and Epana were also artists.
Kevin is a skilled watercolour artist who was taught by his father. Kevin now lives in Alice Springs at the Namatjira Camp, his artworks have been acquired by the Art Gallery of South Australia, MAGNT and the Parliament House Collection in Canberra. Kevin has also participated in many exhibitions to showcase his artworks. Kevin works closely with Iltja Ntjarra.
